Is Your Business Ready for the Age of AI Search?
People are going crazy about AI lately. But what does AI actually do?
For most people, when they hear “AI,” they think of ChatGPT—something that can write a paragraph or generate an image. That’s what the general public sees. It’s cool, yes, and it helps us draft documents faster—but is that really something to be afraid of? It doesn’t quite match the scary headlines that say AI will take over the world.
Here’s how I see it: in life, the only constant is change. And we’ve been through all kinds of changes before.
I remember my grandparents telling me stories from their childhood. Back then, they used oil lamps to light their homes at night. Can you imagine that? Then within a decade, electricity came into their village—suddenly, they had lamps, televisions, refrigerators. It completely transformed the way they lived. That’s how change works. Slowly at first, and then all at once.
Then came the internet. Some of you might still remember how hard it used to be to stay in touch with relatives overseas. You had to write letters, send physical photos, wait for weeks. Now, you can share everything instantly.
Then came the social media boom. What started as a place to share moments with close friends has become a stage where people share reviews, opinions, and experiences—and that virality can either grow your business or crush it.
Now, it’s AI’s turn.
One of the clearest signs of this shift is how we search for information. Think about it—when you're traveling or driving, you might ask Siri or your voice assistant:
“Where’s a good place for dinner nearby?”
That’s AI in action.
And here’s the important question:
Is your business showing up in those answers?
Right now, we’re still in the influencer marketing era. Businesses are racing to get as many people as possible to talk about and recommend them.
But soon, we’ll be racing to get AI search to recommend us.

At SAY Concepts, we’ve been thinking deeply about this. We’re helping our clients get ready for the next shift—through website strategy, social media consistency, smart ad buys, strong branding, and authentic photo/video content.
I am sharing what I see coming, and hopefully triggering some thoughts about where things are headed.
Because the future’s not waiting for anyone. It’s already changing.
And I believe the next big question in marketing will be:
How do I get AI to recommend me?
