New Ground, Same Vision: Jakarta Hospitality Spotlight – April 2025

April 30, 2025

Jakarta, April 2025— SAY Concepts has just wrapped up the Jakarta leg of its Hospitality Spotlight project, an initiative designed to amplify stories, strengths and standout spaces of Southeast Asia’s dynamic hospitality brands through high-impact content and strategic insight.

Hotel Ciputra Jakarta, a landmark in the Indonesian capital, was one of the key collaborators in this edition of the Spotlight. Known for its commanding views of the city, refined guest experience, and its strong culinary reputation, the hotel remains a benchmark for excellence in Jakarta’s Hospitality scene. SAY Concepts had the opportunity to capture the essence of the brand through dynamic reels and high-quality visuals, helping translate their offline hospitality into digital appeal.

The Hotel Ciputra team was incredibly warm, efficient and collaborative. They made the entire experience productive and seamless for us. After completing a detailed social media analysis, one key opportunity stood out: the need for short-form video content that goes beyond showcasing food. We saw a chance to highlight what truly sets the hotel apart — the guest journey, its unique spaces, and most importantly, the associates who bring warmth and personality to every stay. That personal touch is what gives the hotel its charm, and we wanted to bring that to life on social media. So, we rolled up our sleeves and created just that — bite-sized reels that tell a fuller story. It’s all about turning their real-world strengths into digital moments that resonate, and we can’t wait to share them soon.

It was a very great experience working with the SAY Concepts team, with very tight preparation and limited time execution with a combination of photo & video at the same time. Big thanks to Stacy for giving her touch that brings different colours to this photo & video; some attractive guidance and recommendation from Albert will make this project much more exciting. Collaboration between SAY Concept & Hotel Ciputra Jakarta will become a big shot this year, specifically in the hospitality industry for 4-star hotels in Jakarta. Bravo, SAY Concepts!” says Mr Kigunawan, Director of Sales and Marketing, Hotel Ciputra Jakarta

Hats Bar isn’t just another cocktail spot, it’s a bold, expressive space where cocktail artistry and sorbet spontaneity collide. Tucked into the heart of Iskandarsyah, HATS is led by the ever-charismatic Demitria Ramona and is home to experimental gelato, “sober sorbets,” and cocktails that don’t play by the rules. The interiors are striking, the energy is electric, and every detail feels intentional.

Working with Demitria was an absolute breeze. Her natural flair and confidence on camera brought a special spark to every shot — from behind-the-bar sequences to those mesmerising pours and playful, personality-led reels. Everything we captured was a nod to the brand’s soul: creative, unfiltered, and made for a social-first world.

We’re excited to see how this visual story brings even more eyes — and hearts — to HATS.

It was a great experience to be the first bar coverage portfolio in Jakarta with Say. The whole team was so friendly and helpful. I’ve known Stacy since I was working in Singapore, knowing her work, there is no doubt about the results. It was a great collaboration, and I can’t wait to have more great things to do together in the future,” says Demitria Dana Paramita, Founder of Hats Jakarta.

“We were thrilled to bring the Hospitality Spotlight to Jakarta, a city buzzing with energy, culture, and a fast-growing hospitality industry,” shares Stacy Lee. She added that this trip wasn’t just about creating content, it was about collaborating with local brands to tell their stories in a way that drives real impact and elevates their presence in an increasingly competitive market.

Our trip from 20–22 April was more than just another project — it marked the beginning of a deeper presence for SAY Concepts in Indonesia. Since then, we’ve started meaningful conversations with more players in Jakarta’s buzzing hospitality scene, and there’s already more in the works that we’re excited about.

As digital habits shift across the city, brands here aren’t just chasing reach anymore. “We’re seeing a shift,” says Albert Samuel, our Regional Director. “It’s not just about being seen, it’s about standing out in ways that matter. Brands here are looking for stories that connect and spark action.”

With a young, mobile-savvy audience and tourism gaining momentum again, Jakarta is ripe for brands that lead with strong, social-first storytelling. In hospitality especially, where the first impression often happens online, creative content can make all the difference.

We’re now preparing for more purpose-led campaigns — built on insight, tailored for consistency, and designed to resonate across platforms. Because real impact doesn’t come from showing up randomly — it comes from showing up right.
